Eystri-Sólheimar is a small and friendly guesthouse in a renovated farmhouse, set in a quiet and natural area between Vík and Skógafoss. The property sits just south of Mýrdalsjökull glacier, with views toward the distinctive mountain Pétursey and out across the open land to the ocean.

For centuries a sheep and dairy farm was operated on this land, and the spirit of hospitality has always been at the heart of life here. Today we welcome travellers from all over the world into our home — a small, personal place with only six guest rooms and genuinely attentive hosts.

Bathrooms are shared, and breakfast is included for standard double and triple rooms. Guests in economy rooms have access to a shared kitchen to prepare their own meals. Without any immediate neighbors, the property sits in complete darkness after sunset — making it one of the finest spots in South Iceland for watching the northern lights (aurora borealis).
