Eystri-Sólheimar is close to Highway 1 and only 160 km / 100 mi away from Reykjavik.
You find us 12 km / 8 mi east of the hamlet Skógar and 22 km / 14 mi west of Vik, the southernmost village in Iceland.
Halfway between Reykjavik and Vatnajökull glacier, Eystri-Sólheimar is the right place for staying overnight en route around the island or exploring the south more thoroughly.

Eystri-Sólheimar lies in the realm of Mýrdalsjökull glacier and is surrounded by green meadows with an open view to the ocean.
It has been for many centuries a typical Icelandic sheep and dairy farm, its owners always known for their hospitality.
Today it is an equally hospitable place, indeed, welcoming you since 2003 as a nice family-run guesthouse near the leading attractions of the south coast.

We offer four spacious rooms (double/ twin) with hand basin, three rooms without sink and a limited number of sleeping bag accomodation.
Bathrooms are located in the hallways.
Meals are served in the bright dining room with lounge area and a great view of Mt Pétursey.
There is a self-service kitchen, a sundeck, free parking and free wireless internet access.
